Blue & Gold News Update
Blue and Gold Officer Report - August, 2004

  • Revisions to the current SAT scores are being implemented beginning with the SAT I to be administered in March 2005. The USNA will continue to accept the Math and Critical Reasoning scores which are comparable to current Math and Verbal. The Written section of the new SAT will not be used by USNA for next several admissions cycles but the data will be collected for evaluation purposes.

  • High School students taking the ACTs should also take the written portion of the ACT.

  • USNA Admissions has an event calendar for view by the public. Website: www.usna.edu/Admissions

  • Seven Candidate Visit Weekends (by invitation only) for Class of 2009 candidates are: 10/29/04, 11/05/04, 11/19/04, 1/21/05, 2/4/05, 3/4/05, 4/1/05.

Lastly, this year's "All Academies" Information Night is scheduled to be held at Danversport Yacht Club on Wednesday, November 10, beginning at 6:30 pm. Please encourage all interested high school students to try and attend this event. It's the best local source of military academy and ROTC information consolidated in one place in the Greater Boston area.

Jim or I would be happy to answer any specific questions or speak with any potential candidates at any time.

Enjoy the rest of your summer. GO NAVY! -- BEAT ARMY!

Respectfully submitted,
